Alpha shopping & Food

Well, today i got a call from my sister to go to the Alpha stores in the Vile Parle area. I was just about heading to the gym, so i knew I had to rush it, got the pump, returned home and away we went.
It was pouring! Mad pouring, you couldn’t see the cars infront, but as the crowd I hang around with still has some soul in them, they were making over zealous plans such as – Let’s go Juhu and walk on the beach, while all the water in the world was pouring from the sky…
Anyways, I hadn’t eaten, I was hungry and shopping always makes people hungry too.. although I didint get anything apart from a hershey bar, a M&M bar and philadelphia cheese; mmm cheese.
And so did the food come, had a dabeli for the first time in life, tasted like a sweeter version of pav bhaji. . It was alright… unsatisfied, I went for the Chinese Bhel, which my bud, she was surprised I hadn’t tried it, as it was her mother’s speciality, had to go for it. Again, a bit disappointed, it tasted okay, for the amount of stuff which goes in there, and what they are trying to mimic, it doesn’t taste much hmm, so in ordered some ketchup to get the tangy going… but the ketchup seemed fake too, no taste.
Well, I was a bit bummed, but I had hopes for a restaurant in the area and was going to eat bajias..and of course, they didn’t serve them. So we ended up ordering mushroom Pizza, which had no mushroom, perhaps he forgot or summin, I well, again would give it a 3/10, but I guess it’s due to me knowing how a pizza should taste.
Finally, on the way back, we stopped at Amar Juice Center, there in was told to try the Pav Bhaji, who says no to Pav Bhaji? And so I went for it.. mm it was better than what I had tried at other places but I still think there is hope out there for THE PAV BHAJI – although having asked the family, they said it should taste as it is, and it’s pretty good… perhaps the touch we add at home gives it that extra notch I have been looking for.

All in all, a good outing, laughs with the girls and my brother, and more places ticked off the food list.
